Our Award Winning Competitive Team swims year round with tryouts beginning in the summer (June & July). A tryout is required to begin the registration process. Nation's Capital Swim Club was started in 1978 and has grown into one of the premier clubs in the United States. In 2017, NCAP was first in the Nation in USA Swimming's Club Excellence Program and was one of just 20 Clubs to be awarded Gold Medal Status. It has won USA Swimming's Virtual National Championship for the last eight years.

Jeff has coached every level of athlete over his 30 plus year of coaching, and currently is Senior Coach for Nation's Capital Swim Club - NCAP/Alexandria. He is a world class coach and mentor. He has coached two Olympians in Mark Henderson and Markus Rogan, but prides himself in his ability to get the best out of his swimmers.

The program is for swimmer under 14 looking for a supplement for summer league. Stephen Clendenin is starting his fifth season with NCAP. He has been a competitive swimmer since he was 9 years old and has been swimming in Northern VA since 2001.
