Founded in 1975 by Jack and Jean Lambson, Mount Vernon Academy was one of the very first private schools established in the state of Utah. Mount Vernon Academy encompasses the educational needs of the whole student: mental, physical, and spiritual. It offers small classrooms with individual attention on the student.
Curriculum

While offering the core curriculum, our classroom settings are infused with exciting projects and research that go far beyond the basic requirements. Every program we offer is designed to prepare students for graduation and to ensure their eligibility for college entrance. This course is designed to study and learn the history, culture, and geography of the Asian and African continent.
Giving

Mount Vernon Academy is a non-profit organization that qualifies to receive gifts of cash, securities, and property. All of these generous donations are tax deductible and can be used as an itemized deduction for the tax year in which they are given. These donations are greatly appreciated and vital to the high standard of a private school education.
Annual Giving Fund

The Annual Giving Fund is the heart of our fundraising efforts. As with most private schools, Mount Vernon Academy does not rely upon any national or state governmental financial support. Tuition does not completely cover the cost of a student's education, therefore dollars raised through the Annual Giving Fund are necessary to bridge the gap between tuition income and operating expenses.
