Dr. Rani was raised in Alice and returned to her roots here in the coastal bend for her residency program and professional career. Being away for her education deepened her appreciation for the people and values of our communities in and around the Corpus Christi area. After completing a rigorous honors program in 3 years at UT, Dr. Rani began her medical school training at one of the top medical schools in the country.

Rani Pediatrics has created a Newborn Nursery for Well-Care Visits and privacy while breastfeeding. Because of their vulnerabilities, newborns are moved to the Newborn Nursery or to an exam room as quickly as possible. Insurance for newborns can be a daunting task for new parents to deal with. Each insurance company has its own rules for how and when a newborn is put on the parents' policy.

Rani Pediatrics offers three waiting rooms - one for well-care, one for sick visits, and one for non-sick follow ups for script refills. We don't want a well child getting sick at the doctor's office. We focus on cleanliness in our office. Our delightful zoo theme helps your children feel at ease, and we offer TVs in our examination rooms.

Practicing medicine - and specifically pediatrics - is an endeavor that requires balancing science and emotion. Dr. Rani and her staff regularly meet to discuss their personal experiences of going to a doctor's office for themselves or with a family member. This has led to a Care Philosophy based on empathy and the Golden Rule: Treat others as we would want to be treated.
