Kevin's family relocated to North Carolina from South Florida when he was eight-years-old, so he claims he's been here almost long enough to be called a native. He grew up in the Cary area, graduated from Apex High School, and now he and Amanda live in Fuquay-Varina. Amanda was born and raised in Fuquay-Varina.
In fact, her ancestors founded the town, and her maiden name is Fuquay. The joke is that she knows Fuquay so well it's her middle name. Both Amanda and Kevin attend East Carolina University, where Kevin studied Communications and Amanda studied Political Science & Sociology. Both found plenty of time for (too much) fun in Greenville too.

I will likely never give up my Chicago area code, but I am truly thankful to be able to live and to raise my kids in Apex. I think we have a wonderful mix of small town and big city right here in the heart of North Carolina.

I grew up right in the heart of Apex and graduated from Apex High School. After graduating from nursing school at ECU, I lived in Greenville for years, but when the opportunity presented itself, we moved back to Apex. I adore the fact that my three children are growing up on the same street in Historic Downtown Apex where I grew up.
