Specialized Education for Every Student
Founded in 1990 by Karen Smith, our school was established to provide individualized attention and small-class instruction for students who struggle in larger educational settings. Over three decades, we have maintained our mission of creating a nurturing environment where students receive tailored accommodations. Our block schedule enhances learning through longer class periods that allow deeper subject exploration and reduced daily transitions. We specialize in supporting diverse learners through differentiated instruction, executive functioning skill development, and a cross-curricular model that bridges academic gaps. Our dedicated faculty combines research-based practices with personalized support, ensuring students build confidence, self-advocacy skills, and collaborative abilities. With weekly counseling, clubs, and electives, we foster holistic growth while maintaining rigorous academic standards. Our graduates leave with clear post-secondary plans that highlight their strengths, supported by a community that values both academic and personal success.

Our son, brilliant and in trouble due to his Asperger Syndrome and bipolar disorder, couldn't find any school that fit his needs for both advanced academics and a nurturing and very flexible environment. In fact, we couldn't believe after a while that such a school existed.
