Providing a world-class education to its students with rigorous academics and outstanding programs in athletics, the arts, public service, and global travel.
While Trinity is best known for its intellectual vitality, we promise so much more: a balanced educational program for body and mind, heart and soul, incorporating the arts, athletics, and community service; a chapel program that calls students not only to grow into their best selves, but also to reach out beyond themselves to address needs and realities greater than themselves.

Perhaps the best way to begin to get to know Trinity School is to examine the promises and commitments expressed in our mission statement, "Our Idea of Excellence, " for there, you find the best, most succinct expression of the distinctive vision that governs our operations and our aspirations.
Like other great schools, Trinity promises to offer a balanced educational program for body and mind, heart and soul; incorporating the arts, athletics, and community service: "We are called to challenge the minds, fire the imaginations, and train the bodies of the young people who have been entrusted to us; to enlarge their spiritual lives; and to increase their capacity for mutual and self-respect."

History of Trinity School
Report
Trinity School was founded in 1709 when William Huddleston, a New York lawyer and a city schoolmaster, successfully petitioned the London-based Society for the Propagation of the Gospel for school books and an annual salary of ten pounds. Trinity School was the only New York school to operate unhindered during the British occupation of the city in the Revolutionary War.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Report
In our commitment to diversity, we must show our students how to be colleagues and friends so they can act out of respect and love. We must lead them to distinguish right from wrong and then do what is right so they can be persuasive and courageous citizens. Guided by a desire to be in solidarity with each other, we aim to create a school in which all community members feel a genuine sense of belonging.
Strategic Plan
Report
Trinity School will launch a comprehensive strategic planning process in Fall 2021 leading to a new plan to guide the school over the coming three to five years. Every member of the school community will be invited to participate in the process beginning in September. Please check back here and watch your email for updates.
