Berry Pilates
Jenn Berry has been practicing Pilates since 1992 and became a certified Pilates instructor in 2001 via The Pilates Center of Orange County. She has a Masters degree in dance science and was educated by Joseph Pilates' proteges Ron Fletcher and Diane Diefenderfer. Jenn invites you to train with her and her staff.

At 17, I wanted nothing more than to be a professional ballerina. I practiced for hours every day and, like most teenagers, I thought I was indestructible. One day, after much repetition, I attempted an advanced move that my body did not have the strength to support and I found myself unable to dance.
The Studio

Berry Pilates has a variety of equipment that to suit every body, every need. We offer Balanced Body reformers as well as Wunda chairs, ladder chairs, spine correctors, wobble boards, balls, bands, magic circles, rollers, elliptical machines, and much more. Our studio is private in order to allow the client the freedom to learn without distractions.
Eric Newton

Eric Newton recently finished a 3-year stint in the Cirque du Soleil production Believe at the Luxor in Las Vegas as a principal performer and artist coach. He has performed across America and internationally with Cirque du Soleil (Quidam); Cirque Eloize (Cirque Orchestre); Teatro ZinZanni; as well as innumerable performances of his original acts.

I began working out with Jen at the same time that I began physical therapy for a childhood shoulder injury. She not only coordinated my pilates instruction with my physical therapist, via regular communication with him, but she also took a pro-active role in making sure that I strengthened the areas that I had previously injured and developed new exercises specifically for me that focused on strengthening my areas of vulnerability.

I love teaching (and taking) group classes- the energy of the group is infectious as classmates commiserate over doing the hundreds or a second (or third or fourth) set of squats. The joint suffering of doing yet another plank can be highly motivating and such a great bonding experience. But did you ever have that one Pilates exercise that never made sense?
