We limited out on Red Grouper at the first spot and they were all bigger fish. Moved spots once and limited out on Red Snapper. Caught a big Scamp Grouper and a few other bonus fish including a small dolphin. It was an awesome trip and we will definitely be booking with Down 2 Fish in the future. Captain Richard was able to accommodate us super late notice after 2 of our other trips got canceled due to weather.

Scrapping barnacles off of boat bottoms, bailing the Jon boats out, and cleaning props were regular chores during grade school. By the age of 8, he was picking shrimp as a deckhand. He also would help his mother sell bait at Rita's Bait & Tackle. Some weekends he'd be selling oranges and prawns just outside of the 7-Eleven on Tierra Verde's Pinellas Bayway.

An in-shore fishing charter is an excellent way to experience real deep-sea fishing off the coast of St. Petersburg without spending all day motoring out to the open sea and back again.
Dolphin Tours
Report
Dolphins are beautiful, magical, mystical creatures, and getting to see one in real life on a St. Petersburg dolphin tour - in its own habitat - is the opportunity of a lifetime. These mammals have long enchanted humans with their squeaky cries and their cheerful "smiles."
While you can see dolphins in aquariums or even swim with them in various facilities (although the wisdom of this has been questioned), the best way to see dolphins is in their natural state - swimming freely in the open ocean.Because some dolphins live in shallow waters closer to the coastline, you may be able to glimpse them from shore from time to time.

Red Snapper
Report
Red snapper makes an appearance on most menus around St. Petersburg, the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean. Its flesh is firm and stands up to all methods of cooking - fried, baked, broiled, steamed. A red snapper's mild, non-fishy flavor means you can jazz up this fish any way you like by adding other ingredients, spices and sauces.
