Are you ready for some great fun, relaxation and tight lines? Bull Redfish, Cobia, Sheepshead and Grouper are showing up in our near shore waters. We are also still catching plenty of nice size Trout, Flounder and Snapper for the next few months along with our usual cast of characters such as Snook and Drum in our inshore waters.
Winter is here and as the water temps cool down and the days get shorter, the Fish are biting hard and fast. The fish are getting very active now. Beautiful weather and calm water with a nice sea breeze blowing. Time to get outside on a open air roomy boat and do some fishing. We are open for trips up to 6 people.

These prices INCLUDE all of the bait (including live bait), tackle, state fishing licenses, gear and filleting of your fish. Captain Steve will meet you at one of the many locations offered and you'll head out for a short ride on the Jandy---feel free to bring your own food and refreshments!
Once you've reached a fishing spot, Captain Steve will help you decide how to fish based on what has worked well recently, set up the provided equipment, and provide instruction to any fishing beginners.Next, you will enjoy beautiful views while you reel them in. We will even clean and bag your catch for you!

So come take a trip and rip some lips with Captain Steve and Chummy Charters and you will be sure to have a fun time! We are currently running inshore and offshore trips in a 23' Carolina Skiff boat. She allows us to fish the inshore flats, back country rivers and the Gulf. Her modified V-Hull makes the Jandy a most diversified vessel.

The surrounding water area around Anna Maria Island is a small boat anglers' playground where you will find Snook as well as Red Fish. If offshore deep sea fishing is your goal you will find Barracuda, Grouper, King Mackerel, Snapper, Cobia, Porgies, Sharks, Trigger Fish, Spanish Mackerel just to name a few!

The Cobia are a large species that grow to 4 feet and can weigh over 50 pounds with the record in Florida 130 pounds caught in Destin, but most caught are in the 20-30 pound range. Mostly a solitary fish, you may sometimes find them in small groups in bays and inlets around structure. Offshore, Cobia feed on crab, shrimp, squid and small fish usually around shipwrecks and deep reefs.
