Our practice participates with most major insurance carriers in the area. If you have questions about whether one of our physicians is a contracted provider or if your visit will be covered, please contact your insurance company directly at the number listed on your insurance card. It is also the patient's responsibility to obtain all necessary referrals needed to see our physicians.

You must register to use this service and (i) provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself (the "Registration Data"), and (ii) maintain and promptly update the Registration Data to keep it accurate, current and complete.

If you provide any Registration Data that is inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or we believe may be inaccurate, not current or incomplete, we may suspend or terminate your account and refuse any and all current or future access to and use of this service (or any portion thereof).Please also note that if you have a change of address (i.e., your residence address), you must inform us by calling our office at 816-455-0666.

Chicago native, Frank Koranda, MD, is married to Diane, who shares his commitment to providing surgical care to people in countries who would not otherwise have access to it. Dr. Koranda serves as a medical director of a world outreach program and spends four to six weeks a year serving the program.

Nicholas Maxwell, PA-C joined Midwest Medical Specialists in October of 2018. Nicholas is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. Born and raised in Platte City, MO where at a young age, I was given a foundation of the importance of perseverance, determination, and compassion.

Katie Palmietto is a graduate of Missouri State University and a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She began her career as a vestibular audiologist but has discovered a passion for hearing aids and helping her patients develop and refine communication strategies. Dr. Palmietto is a Missouri girl at heart, but recently moved to Kansas and is excited to discover what it has to offer.
