Prana Yoga Center is a community-centered studio offering a variety of classes for those seeking greater health, vitality & ease. Prana Yoga Center is a beautiful studio in the heart of downtown Denville, New Jersey. Beginning as "Adaptive Yoga Dynamics" in the early 90's, Prana has a long history of being a welcoming and inclusive, community centered and dedicated space.

We offer a wide range of classes from Restorative and Gentle to more active Beginner through Intermediate, Pilates, and in the Summer, SUP Yoga. Our instructors have backgrounds in a variety of styles and are experienced in making yoga safe, accessible, and beneficial for all. We offer fun and educational workshops, teacher trainings, retreats, and community events year round.

Bill, a native of Northern New Jersey, has been practicing yoga since 2007. His early love of nature landed him a kayaking instructor position creating long hours in beautiful places but in cramped conditions. Wanting to enjoy all of his time on the water he took the advice of a friend to try yoga.

Are you a beginner who would like to try a personalized class to try the basics before joining a group class?. Do you have an injury or a condition that you are working with and want to learn how to modify your postures in class?. Are there postures that you would like to spend more time with and would like individualized attention?.

Beginner: Beginner yoga is suitable for both the first time student and any student interested in becoming further rooted in the basics of yoga. Each class is a breath centered blend of poses aimed toward opening channels in the body through proper alignment. The actions in each pose are ones that can be translated into any yoga class, enhancing and building the student's understanding of more challenging poses.
SUP Yoga

These 90 minute classes begin with a brief on-land paddle and safety instruction. We'll take a short paddle to warm up to get accustomed to the movement and balance of the board. After that, we'll clip each board to an anchoring system and begin the class. Our SUP Classes are Open Level with options for beginners and more challenging options for those with a bit more experience.

We hold prenatal specific classes and workshops at different times throughout the year, but here are the classes on our regular class schedule that our many expectant moms have benefitted from:. This therapeutic class is tailored for those who would like to slow down, de-stress, and heal whether it be from an illness or injury, or simply from the stresses of daily life.
