In 2006, a group of friends and wine connoisseurs came together to purchase an old cherry orchard in the Eola-Amity Hills American Viticultural Area (AVA). The existing farmhouse was remodeled into a winery and 12 acres of vines were planted onto the land - that was the beginning of Rizzo Winery.
Today, the original founder of Rizzo Winery & Vineyard, Habib Matin, alongside partner Saiid Behboodi, with support from winemakers David Rizzo and Henry Morgan - "Team Rizzo" - are committed to continue producing the high quality wines our consumers have enjoyed over the past decade.

Rizzo Winery is unique in more ways than one. Named after our winemaker, David Rizzo, we consider ourselves the Winemaker's Wine, as we are true to liquid greatness and use skilled winemaking techniques. We focus on the pursuit of expressing the purest fruit from our grapes and their respective terroir, both from our own estate and the vineyards of our neighboring regions.
