Kula is a word in Sanskrit (an ancient language from India, it looks likes this -> ) that can be translated to mean tribe, community, or family. We're a relaxed, people-centered yoga center in Glendale, with classes and events for any body 7 days a week. Our mission is to be a comfortable and encouraging environment for any body to feel welcome, included, capable, and challenged.
We provide opportunities to hang out with other cool, like-minded people, grow in wellness in body + mind + spirit, and spread peace to that crazy world out there. We have a roomy hang out area, two large restrooms, a small retail shop, and two yoga rooms in a fresh and comfortable space. Gather up your comfiest yoga clothes and all your yoga props to pause before the hustle of the holiday season.

As a stressed out, overworked, underpaid teacher, I found yoga to be a way to cope. If I got my yoga in, I was able to make it through the week with more energy, halfway sane, and a little more patient. I was able to sacrifice a small amount of time and still get sweating, challenge my balance, work my flexibility, and get my bliss on.

Sometimes our classes fill up, so it's helpful if you pre-register in Mindbody to save your spot. You're welcome to pay in the studio or if you'd rather from home, head over to our Pricing Page. New around here? Head over to our I'm new page! Please note: Out of respect for the teacher and relaxing yogis, we are not able to let latecomers into class.

Down dog is my favorite pose to teach because it's a full-body workout and resting pose, all in on one. There are also countless modifications to ease or advance the pose. My favorite pose to teach is Vrikshasana - Tree Pose because everyone needs to find a stable deeply rooted tree to take refuge during life's ups and downs.

I love Kula Yoga. The studio was recommended by my hiking friends; I gave it a try and fell in love. It's such a comfort to know I can come and relax after a hectic day or start off my day with calming energy. I convinced my husband to attend a class with me and he's now a member as well as our teenage daughter.
