Psychotherapy
Individual psychotherapy sessions address depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and trauma through evidence-based approaches. Our practice combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness to help clients develop coping strategies and emotional resilience. Sessions focus on creating personalized treatment plans that address specific mental health concerns while promoting overall well-being.
Mindfulness Training
Mindfulness-based interventions teach present-moment awareness to reduce stress and improve emotional regulation. Through guided exercises and practical applications, clients learn to observe thoughts without judgment and cultivate greater self-awareness. This approach helps manage anxiety, chronic pain, and relationship conflicts by developing moment-to-moment conscious attention.
Inquiry-Based Therapy
Inquiry-based psychotherapy applies Byron Katie's 'The Work' to examine distressing thoughts and beliefs. Through structured questioning, clients identify and challenge cognitive distortions that contribute to suffering. This transformative process helps resolve anxiety, depression, and relationship conflicts by revealing more empowering perspectives and thought patterns.
Cross-Cultural Counseling
Specialized counseling addresses challenges in cross-cultural relationships and multicultural identity issues. Drawing from personal experience in intercultural relationships, we help clients navigate communication differences, cultural expectations, and identity formation. This service supports individuals and couples in building stronger cross-cultural understanding and relationship resilience.
Trauma Recovery
Trauma-informed therapy addresses the lasting effects of abuse, loss, and adverse life experiences. Using somatic awareness and cognitive restructuring techniques, we help clients process traumatic memories safely. Treatment focuses on restoring emotional regulation, rebuilding trust, and developing coping mechanisms for managing trauma-related symptoms in daily life.

I have to apologize that I didnt come forward with my experience with Dr. Coumar sooner.
Seeing all the negative reviews on him online on other platforms, I decided to come forward, especially since he changed his practice name, thus removing all negative reviews. I used to see Dr. Coumar when I was a teenager. I suffered from a condition that turned out to be biological in nature but at the time, medical professionals assumed it was psychological. Dr. Coumar could have pointed out that my condition was biological but he didnt, thus prolonging my suffering.Another issue I had with Dr
