The Madison Golf Club was founded in 1896 by a group of town fathers who had been casually playing on a makeshift course in a field "on the hill" in Madison, NJ. The original course was a six-hole layout with a total length of 1200 yards. It was laid out on property made available by prominent local resident James Webb.

Madison Golf Club is a private, nine-hole golf course established in 1896. The Club offers many activities for members and their families during the official season from April through October. The club offers tournaments including a member/guest, member/member, club championship and many more.
The women's division includes 18-holers and 9-holers that play weekly tournaments on Wednesday mornings as well as special tournaments that include team events, low net competitions and the club championship.The senior division plays various informal tournaments on the third Thursday of each month.

The superintendent and grounds crew at Madison Golf Club daily provide a challenging, but fair, playing condition for all players. Our staff takes pride in the fine details throughout the course creating an enjoyable golfing experience for the members and their guests. We follow an integrated pest management program using organic products when possible to protect the environment around Madison Golf Club.
