Aikido
Report
Aikido was developed in the 20th century by Morihei Ueshiba, known to his students as O Sensei (" Great Teacher"). O Sensei was one of the greatest martial artists of all time. His Aikido is based on centuries-old Samurai fighting techniques. However, Aikido is unique among the martial arts in that its goal is to redirect and control aggression without inflicting injury on the attacker.

Your child will learn more than a martial art. Our training will develop your child's motor skills, develop their focus, increase their confidence and give them a positive outlook - all while having a lot of fun! The classes also encourage the benefits of good behavior, teamwork, and being their best at home, at school and in social situations.
Kids
Report
Children ages 6 - 10 are accepted into this program. They may join at any time - new students are given particular attention and everyone trains at their own level. The training emphasizes physical balance and timing, coupled with a calm and controlled attitude.

The great difference in Aikido from other martial arts is that it is strictly defensive; therefore, your child can learn how to be effective and safe in hostile situations without having to resort to violence as a reaction.Children mimic what they learn. If you teach your child how to punch and kick, he or she will want to punch and kick.
