Immunization Schedule

Your child will receive several immunizations during the first two years of life. These can be expected during your child's well visits at the ages of 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, and 15-18 months old. They will also receive boosters around the ages of 5 years, 11-12 years, and 15-16 years of age. You will receive information about each vaccine and will have the opportunity to discuss the immunizations before your child receives them.

The Academy of Pediatrics recognizes that each child and family is unique: therefore, recommendations for preventative pediatric health care are designed for children who have no manifestations of any important health problems, and are growing and developing in satisfactory fashion.
Developmental, psychosocial, and chronic disease issues for children and adolescents may require frequent counseling and treatment visits separate from preventive care visits.Our doctors and nurse practitioners follow the guidelines of the American Academy of Pediatrics and Bright Futures. Beginning at age three (3) years, your child should be seen yearly for an annual checkup through age 21 years.

The Portsmouth office is open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Hampton office is open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Weekend appointments for urgent sick visits are available in the Portsmouth office by appointment on Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A physician is always available on call during off hours for urgent matters.
