Here at McCoy's Action Karate we have over 30 years of experience training people in Martial Arts. We would not have lasted this long if we were another average Karate school. Our instructors are some of the best available, and are constantly learning better methods to train our students. We hand select our instructors to ensure that they can train students of all ages and experience levels.
The Martial Arts have a history that goes back thousands of years. At McCoy's Action Karate we take these ancient techniques and pair them with Modern Teaching Techniques. This involves individualized plans that take into account each student's level of experience, age and physical fitness to tailor make a plan that will work best for that person.

McCoy's Action Karate (MAK) has four martial arts programs. For Children, we have MAK Karate, which includes separate programs designed for 4 age groups. Power Turtles: Age 2 - 3 years of age. Tiny Tigers: Age 4 -5 years of age. Little Dragons: Age 6 - 7. Karate Kids: Age 8 - 12. For Teens and Adults we have 3 separate Programs.

MAK has had an active Home School Karate program since 1994, providing PE credit for students in Central MA and North Eastern CT, as well as self-defense skills, focus, self-confidence, socialization, mental and physical safety, and security.
Our home school students traditionally attend our morning classes, but all our students are encouraged to take advantage of any of our program's classes at whatever time fits their and their family's needs and schedule.A built-in part of our karate program is the wide variety of attendance methods, particularly helpful during times of stress, illness, or complexity.
