DTEL became Gastonia's first and largest telecom equipment dealer in 1984 thanks to our founders, Bill Dover and A. J. Turnipseed, both Southern Bell retirees with over 30 years' experience at the time. In 1990 DTEL became a Comdial Associate Dealer, a Preferred Dealer in 1993, and then was promoted to a Preferred Gold Dealer in 1997.
