We're proud of our community. Our students are friendly, positive, and like-minded in their pursuit of a healthy lifestyle. I started Martial Arts at age 51. It started with pushups when my son was training for his black belt. Then I got talked into taking a class. It hurt so much to walk down the steps after the first class that I went back the next day afraid that I wouldn't be able to walk at all if I didn't loosen up the muscles.

Modern Martial Arts offers a unique experience which combines physical strength and agility while addressing topics such as street smarts, dealing with bullies, and having respect for others. Their exceptional instructors inspire confidence and mental focus helping to build the foundations that will serve my children a lifetime.

Jiu Jitsu is more than a sport, it is an art that can bring discipline and tranquility to its dedicated practitioners. Prof Vagner Santana and his team teach exclusively at our Upper Eastside, Upper Westside, and Tribea schools.
