The focus of our martial arts school in New York City NY is on physical fitness, character development and self defense, rather than fighting. Our overarching goal is in building our student's self-esteem.

The overarching goal of the New York City Martial Arts school is to build our students' self-esteem, which we do by acknowledging, recognizing and rewarding not just our students' accomplishments and successes, but their efforts as well. Learning martial arts is a physical endeavor, involving all muscle groups to help develop a student's physical fitness.
Adult

While our martial arts training is an excellent personal-development activity for children, it's great for adults also. Our New York City Martial Arts adult students usually find that they cope better with stress, sleep better at night, work better during the day and just feel better overall. They also have a greater peace of mind due to the knowledge and expertise on what to do if faced with a dangerous situation.
Sparring

Sparring is an integral part of Taekwondo, and we try to cultivate students sparring abilities in our New York City class. Unlike Kickboxing, Karate and MMA, Taekwondo sparring is an Olympic sport providing plenty of opportunity to compete. Classes are usually split into two main parts.

The first half is dedicated to guided drills where students are taught important techniques for sparring, like proper blocking, evasive maneuvers and effective attack and defense sequences.The latter half of each class is a more or less freestyle sparring session, where students are paired up with several partners and given time to free-spar under the supervision and guidance of the class Instructors.
Summer Camp
Report
Children are given the opportunity to participate in a variety of exciting outdoor and indoor summer activities including Tae Kwon Do. In addition to being fun, our Summer Camp program helps develop physical agility, endurance and flexibility in a way that your child's aptitude in other activities and sports are also enhanced.
