Tim founded Crown Companies in 2000 after co-founding Granite Development in 1987. He oversees all development, finance, and management activities. A UNC-Chapel Hill graduate, he serves on multiple boards and actively supports education initiatives in Surry County.
Daniel Barnes
Partner
Daniel manages design, permitting, and construction for all projects. Prior to joining Crown, he led $70M+ in retail and industrial projects at John S. Clark Company. He holds a civil engineering degree from UNC-Charlotte and contributes to local community programs.
Ian Phillips
Partner & General Counsel
Ian handles acquisitions, finance, and legal aspects of development. Before Crown, he directed entitlements at The Carroll Companies. He earned a JD from Elon University School of Law and focuses on multifamily and self-storage projects across the Southeast.
