Wedding coverage and packages for 2014 range between $1600-$4500, from one photographer for 4 hours to two photographers for 8 hours with all the full-coverage extras.
All options include a DVD of your edited, high-resolution images ("digital negatives") and an online gallery; full coverage also includes an engagement session, print credit, and album credit. The photography we provide is very personal to us; since we only photograph 10-15 weddings a year, it's super important that we love our clients-- and vice versa!

Melanie helped us out with a late request for a photographer at my godson's first birthday party. She was a dream. We wanted some structured family pics but also just pics of the kids playing, eating, etc. She executed perfectly, even in the midst of the chaos that is a first birthday party. She was easy-going and seamlessly integrated with the party guests, many of whom got her contact info. When the birthday boy fell asleep in the middle of the party, she even stayed late to wait for him to wake up and get some more shots. The photos turned out wonderfully. I'm already looking for an

Our wedding pictures were fantastic! It was January and cloudy outside. Even though the lighting wasn't great in the evening, the pictures were amazing. Melanie was flexible with the timing, shooting in the morning and evening. The portraits turned out great even though there were multiple distracted babies that needed to be coordinated in the photos. We barely noticed her during the ceremony, but she unobtrusively captured every significant moment. We would highly recommend her.

Goodnickels Photography exceeded all expectations. From my original conversation with Melanie to the very end, she was upbeat, professional, and extremely easy to work with. Melanie is a great person and extremely talented. She truly has a passion for what she does and it shows in her work. We did a lot of research and Goodnickels was by far the best option. Melanie meshed so well with our coordinator, vendors and everyone else involved including the guests! My wife and I are extremely fortunate to have found Melanie at Goodnickels Photography and I highly recommend her company!!

Mel did maternity and newborn shots for me this past year and I could not have been more pleased. She captured my 3 year old completely in his element and took my favorite picture of him to date! Not only are her pictures amazing, but you get your proofs in such a timely fashion which is great because I'm always so anxious to see our photos after we take them!

I had Melanie photograph my small wedding (40 people). I love that she treated us the same as a 200+ person wedding. We had many wedding vendors that didn't want to even talk to us because our small wedding wasn't worth their time. She communicated well to make sure she understood us as a couple and what we wanted captured. I love, love, love how our photos turned out.

This review has been a long time coming, but I HAD to write one because Melanie is AMAZING. My husband and I had Melanie and one of her assistants photograph our wedding last fall and we chose her because from looking at her website she seemed to truly capture the happiness and unplanned joy that is the real beauty of weddings. I found myself smiling and laughing looking at OTHER peoples photos, so that says something. The night before our event I realized I had told her essentially nothing about what we wanted, and I had a moment of panic wondering if our photos would be as nice without any instruction

She did our engagement photos last fall and wedding this past June. I could not be more happy with our photos. They are so great!
We selected Goodnickels initially based on their website and quality of photos. Melanie was great at communicating by responding quickly to inquiries by e-mail. We were able to meet Mel and Phil at Pizza Port (our favorite place) to have a consultation. I know that when you can get comfortable and have a beer with your future photographer, it's a good sign

We selected Phill & Mel "Goodnickle" for our baby's newborn photos. They were fantastic. As a sleep-deprived mom, I was so grateful that they came to our house and made the whole experience feel so natural and comfortable. They got beautiful candid pictures of our baby girl (and our dogs too)! I will treasure the photos forever. Excellent job!!!

Goodnickels is indeed as good as it gets!! We got married October 13th and had Melanie join us for the festivities. I would have given her 5 stars at the end of the night without even seeing the photos because she was so awesome to have. She fit right into our wedding and was very easy to be around and made it so comforting. She made us feel like taking pictures wasn't a chore, but something we really enjoyed doing. Even my husband enjoyed it and wasn't put off by having to pose and smile and stand still for an hour. so at this point Melanie gets 5 stars, then I get my photo images back

I highly recommend Goodnickels Photography! We looked at several photographers before choosing them because they were affordable and just knew they would do a really great job from our first meeting.
Sometimes you'll meet a photographer (or any wedding vendor for that matter) and you get the sense that maybe they're not listening to you and already "know" how it "should" go down. When your family assume the entire time that the photographer is one of your closest friends... you know you've got the right person shooting your wedding!
I've liked few of my own friends as much as I like these two phenomenally rad people. To me, nothing beats adoring the people you choose to photograph your wedding.
I've never been happier to support a business. The Goodnickels treated our event like they were shooting it for their own family and I can't oooze and gush enough over how darn much we loved

Melanie and Phil are an amazing team of photographers. They did a great job capturing every moment of our wedding and getting some amazing shots. we never felt posed or that they were intrusive and they made everything look so easy. We shared the photo galleries with friends and family and they are so impressed with how many pictures and how great their work is. They are all super excited to order prints! Melanie and Phil were a dream to work with and I would recommend them to anyone planning a wedding in the SD area, Goodnickels rocks!
