Perhaps it is that ache under your shoulder blade that makes itself known if you turn the wrong way. We will look at how and when your pain first began and what makes it better or worse in your daily life and movements. In order to make the kind of long-term change that will keep you out of pain, we need your participation.

We need you to go on a journey with us. We are co-creators on this journey, and you will see improvement that lasts - if we take the journey together. Our mission is to see lasting health and happiness in the hands of the people. We do that by helping people get out of pain (physical and emotional) and practice taking excellent care of themselves, so they can live a life of joy and freedom.

Low back pain is one of the most common things that brings people in to Lifelong Wellness. In our culture of sitting or standing still, the poor low back is caged up all day and just wants to get out and play. It's like your puppy dog that gets sad when you don't take it for a walk. Many people don't know that massage therapy can help with their pain, so they go to their doctor, get medications, and are told to get on with their life.

My career started off as a teenager in construction with a family business. At age 21, I went into massage school and did Massage Therapy for 14 years. In 2015 I founded Lifelong Wellness Center in Portland, OR, and now I do Self-Care coaching and trauma informed care. Throughout my years doing massage I learned how important self-care is.

It takes a village to support and sustain human life. You likely have an A-team of supporters in your life. Professionals, teachers (some non-human), friends, and family. We are a part of your A-team helping you heal using the tools and techniques we have mastered. Alison uses bio-dynamic massage as a base for the work she does.
