Fit Studio
It's a gym: there's going to be loud music, a lot of people sweating, perhaps some interesting fashion choices. But, that's where the similarities with other gyms end. Fit is thoughtful. It's not just about exercising. It's about learning how to exercise. There are still plenty of heavy objects we will make you pick up and put down.

But, we'll tell you why you're picking them up and putting them down and we'll make sure you do it without injury. There's a rhythm to Fit. We don't look at exercise as something you do that day. We look at how it fits into the week. And then the month. It's a long-term plan that never ends. There's no finish line.

Learn correct technique, injury prevention, and proper nutrition from your own certified personal trainer. Solo or 2-6 people at a time, you decide. This option is a super effective way for Fit Rookies to learn the ropes before jumping into our group classes. Our small group training is perfect for adults, teens and pre-teens alike.
Fit Youth + Team

This is more than fitness! We create a strong connection with our young athletes as we prioritize not only what happens in the gym, but also how to be a young athlete outside the gym. Recovery, nutrition, and lifestyle all play a role in how we develop as athletes. We give our Fit athletes the tools to succeed.

Aaron loves fitness. For example, family vacations include, but are not limited to, waking up at 4am for a light run with his five-year-old in a jog stroller, 10 full-field (soccer) sprints, and 100 push-ups for time. If he's ambitious he'll do the pushups with a kid on his back.

Again, Aaron loves fitness, a love that started with his dad, who, as Aaron explains it, was the least-skilled basketball player at the Jewish Community Center in Des Moines and taught him by example that anyone can love sports.Other pertinent information: He cannot do an overhead squat. He loves donuts.

Arthritis is inflammation in the joints that can cause a significant amount of discomfort. There are a few thoughts I have for anyone who may be dealing with an arthritic joint that flares after strength training. The path to wellness involves three steps: education, critical thinking, and aligning values.
