Meet the Staff

Dr. Cynthia Sagel is a 2004 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Sagel grew up in Cincinnati and did her undergraduate work at Miami University, in Oxford, Ohio. She and and her husband have twin daughters and a younger son, as well as two rescue dogs and three pet rats.

Fleas are very important pests in our area, especially during the summer and fall months, but can persist all year. Adult fleas are not only a nuisance to humans and their pets, but can cause medical problems including flea allergy dermatitis (FAD), tapeworms, secondary skin irritations and, in extreme cases, anemia.
