My name is Andy Bruchey and I've been an Austin personal trainer for over 20 years and a local gym owner for the past 14 years. For over 20 years I have specialized in weight loss/gain, including the addition of quality, lean muscle mass, corrective flexibility, post injury rehabilitation, nutrition and sport specific training.

I have extensive experience working with joint problems such as ACL, LCL, MCL, PCL, meniscus and patella tendon issues ranging from macro tears, to full tears in the knees, as well as loss of cartilage issues resulting in bone on bone.

When you've been a successful personal trainer in Austin for a long time, naturally, you will meet a great many people. When you interact with so many people, it's always interesting to learn what they do for work, hobbies, etc. I have trained professionals in seemingly a million fields.

For example, the professional athletes I've worked with have come from all kinds of different backgrounds, and play different positions as well as different sports oftentimes.There's the business professionals, the actors and actresses, the experts in silage, the scientists, the airline pilots, the ballerinas, the teachers, and so on.

Since you're dealing with the general public, you never really know who's going to show up to that initial consultation based on an e mail or phone call, but by far, the vast majority of the hundreds and hundreds of people I've worked with, have been wonderful and it was a joy to have the opportunity to not only work with them, but to get to know them as well.

As long as I've been an Austin personal trainer, this has been the policy. A consultation is not just free, but it's mandatory to train with me, and for several reasons.
Stretching: Is it Important to Stretch

At best, the topic of stretching has long been a topic of debate among personal trainers, physical therapists, coaches, and so on. In actuality, it's been a very divisive subject for years with some camps saying that stretching is unnecessary, while others insisting there is great value in stretching, and then, in the middle, those who were pro stretching, but were at odds with not only others, but science, as to how to go about doing it.
