Taco & Pina
Taco and Pina has been a labor of love in the making for a lifetime. I've always had an affinity for authentic Mexican food since my childhood days travelling from Laredo to the Southern innermost corners of the country, eating my way through markets, taquerias, and people's homes.

What I have taken back with me over the years of cooking professionally and eating is a modern translation of what I like to think as the approachable taqueria, molded in the modern sense of something casual, innovative, fun, and yet authentic. At Taco and Pina I want to make the best Mexican food in Arlington in a non- pretentious and fun environment.

Nothing special, they didn't have half the menu available. And it's smoky for no reason. Do not recommend!

Great food, above and beyond service. Grubhub messed up and was unable to get a driver to pick up my order from Taco and Pina for well over an hour after the order was placed. The generous team at Taco and Pina contacted me about the issue, kept my food warm the entire time, and stayed AFTER closing to ensure my order was fulfilled and that I had a positive experience despite the delivery issue that was entirely out of their control. Thank you to Chef Graham and co. for the excellent food and service!

Solid food. I ordered an avocado tostada, sweet plantains, a mushroom taco, and chips and salsa. My favorite was the tostada. It was filling and full of flavor. They do not skimp on the avocado. The plantains were a wee-bit too tacky-sticky, they were difficult to eat at times.

*le sigh* I always contemplate weather I'm leaving a bad review with good intention .. and in this case I am....all day I was CRAVING a taco. I stopped because they have 4.5 stars and were on my way home. Korean tacos yes! I ordered a grilled chicken taco... there was so much sauce and cream that I literally couldn't eat it and threw it away......my first bite was all sauce and raddish with little chicken chunks. It was NOT a good texture and sopping with sauce. If it was stewed and shredded in the sauce it would have been a more pleasant balanced experience...
You owe me a better taco Taco Pina

Spicy shrimp and Baja tacos were calling our names and we did another takeaway. TIP: Order the tacos with everything on the side, especially if they are fried and construct once you get home! Oh so delicious! And we opted for the medium salsa again.

Maybe I hit it on a bad day, but the food, service, and cleanliness were all lacking. I was one of three customers but my server did not offer utensils or hot sauce and never stopped by to ask if all was OK. To stay the food was bland and tasteless is a kindness. My feet stuck to the floor and my magazine stuck to the table.

I love this place! The tacos are reasonably priced and delicious, an assortment of drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, friendly and warm staff, plus plenty of seating. The only downside I do not like is how they serve the food on the serving trays bare. There is no barrier between your food and the tray itself. Also, how they have the silverware just placed in the napkin holder, again just bare. So, if someone sat there before you and just sneezed or coughed… boom, their germs just all on the silverware. I had to ask for some plastic utensils. Other than that, great eatery.

Went here for dinner and, overall, thought it was okay; the interior is really cute and very picturesque. Had the nacho fries and those were great, really filling and a great size to share. We shared three tacos: the steak, fish, and mushroom. I actually liked the mushroom, but the steak and fish were okay/didn't stand out compared to other tacos in the area; the fish taco also had bones in it. The drinks sounded good but we didn't have any, I might recommend this place for the drinks since it's in a good area, would be nice in the summer, but, overall, thought it was just alright

Been here a couple times and it's a nice spot. My favorites are the crunchy shrimp and ribeye tacos. The staff make it really special, with a special shout out to the gentleman who works the drawer and floor who usually wears a ball cap. He is genuinely pleasant and welcoming and makes the experience awesome. Thanks dude.

We already ordered again! I got the mushroom enchiladas the first time and this time got the mushroom tacos, the carnitas taco, and the tofu taco. It came with some spicy salsa that was delish and had some long-lasting heat-perfect. I really love the mushrooms here, both in tacos and enchiladas. My husband got the Baja, carnitas, and spicy shrimp tacos. All were great- crispy and well-seasoned. We got rice and beans too. The refried black beans came with yellow rice and a roasted, smoky salsa. It was on top of everything, which was great for me but if you don't like it I would ask for it

Our favorite tacos in the area. All the items are packed so you get your $$$ worth. We like the seafood tacos for the freshness and flavor. We like to end the meal with churros and that pineapple sauce is chef's kiss. This is our most ordered restaurant of last year and this.

Taco and Piña really hold its stance versus the chain giant Guapos. If you're looking for a place to relax and socialize without the big crowd this place is definitely a go to. The atmosphere reminds me of a Panera or Starbucks. You can come in with your laptop and enjoy good food.

This is definitely one of my favorite spots for a good tacos and nachos. The portion size for the nachos are really good. I was tad disappointed with the amount of guacamole. The size is more of a sample size than for a large portion of nachos. The Hibiscus Pomegranate Margarita is really good. Compared to my

I tried their Baja Bahia and ribeye asada tacos. Both were very tasty. Worth the price. They didn't skimp on the protein.

My friend had the pork taco & mushroom taco. The rice & beans were tasty too.

The margarita was good too. All plates, utensils are plastic/ paper. You order food at the counter, they bring it out to your table. Had about 6-7 outdoor tables. Seats were not too comfortable. But it was the only place that had outdoor seating on a beautiful sunny day, around dinner time.

Bathroom was clean. Staff followed cdc guidelines and kept everyone safe. I'd try again

It's a self serve kind of place. You get online and order whatever you want , find a table , and they bring the food out to you by calling your name.

Food: the corn was amazing ! Definitely try it if you ever stop by. The tacos were loaded and pretty good. My favorite was the fish tacos. I wanted to try the Mexican rice and beans but they were sold out

Drinks: I wanted to try the Hibiscus Pomegranate Margarita but unfortunately they ran out, along with all the other flavor. The only drinks they had left was the plain margarita and the frozen sangria.

All in all they had pretty good food

Great casual taco spot in Shirlington. Taco and Pina delivers on its tacos and roasted pineapple! Wish more locations would open up in NOVA!

The Mushroom Taco with fried onions and the Crispy Masa Tofu taco were bursting with flavor and quite filling with a spicy kick! I enjoyed both and can't decide which one I liked more. My hubby enjoyed his meaty steak carne tacos.

I wasn't a fan of the sad looking guac, it looked like it has been sitting out and didn't taste fresh.

The roasted pineapple margarita is quite spicy and acidic. After 1/3 of the way through, I threw in the towel

DELICIOUS! I had their crunchy spicy shrimp, fried chicken, and ribeye tacos and they were so good! I tried their frozen mimosarita and the hibiscus margs and they were wonderful! We got them in the pint sizes which were adult caprisun bags and fun to drink out of! They didn’t having anyone sitting inside but outdoor seating was available. Will definitely go again to try more tacos!!
