Meet The Staff

Dr. Julie O'Connell grew up on the West Side of Cincinnati, and attended McAuley High School. She then served in the United States Army for 3 years, before attending Colorado State University, where she graduated with a degree in Zoology. Dr. Julie then moved back to Ohio, to attend the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Fleas are very important pests in our area, especially during the summer and fall months, but can persist all year. Adult fleas are not only a nuisance to humans and their pets, but can cause medical problems including flea allergy dermatitis (FAD), tapeworms, secondary skin irritations and, in extreme cases, anemia.
