About Us
Report
Becky Tainter, the founder and owner of Powerlady Fitness, worked for 7 years at a chain gym as a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor. She had the opportunity to buy the gym in 2003. Inspired by the positive power to help women reach their fitness goals, she saw that the commercial gyms simply weren't meeting member needs and preferences when it came to their workouts.

Powerlady is a safe place. The training area and equipment are cleaned after use. The fitness classes practice social distancing and mask wearing. And during training sessions, personal trainers follow mask wearing and cleaning protocols. Our Hvac also cleanses the air frequently. Members need to sign up for an open gym time slot.

At Powerlady Fitness we understand that going to the gym for the first time can be intimidating. Here are a few things that will help to make your first time coming in not be so scary or stressful!. If you aren't a member and trying a class for the first time try to come 10 minutes early so we can get you signed in and situated.

We base our holiday hours on attendance from previous years and on who is in town staff wise. We always change the voice mail the week of a holiday, post it on the door, and have it posted on our calendar. They told me I was only signing up for a certain period, but before I knew it I had committed to 5 years!
