Blue Wave Insurance Services
Supporting your search for the right Medicare insurance plan with straight-forward, personalized guidance. Medicare Supplement plans provide protection by covering the "gaps" that Medicare does not cover, including deductibles and co-payments. With a Medicare Supplement plan, you can see any provider that accepts Medicare, no referrals are needed!

Medicare Supplement plans are portable and are accepted anywhere in the country that takes Medicare. Medicare Advantage Plans are another way to get your Medicare Part A and Part B coverage. Medicare Advantage Plans, sometimes called "Part C" or "MA Plans, " are offered by Medicare-approved private companies that must follow rules set by Medicare.

Medicare 101: Overview
Report
If you are confused about Medicare, you have come to the right place. Our "Medicare 101" page is dedicated to providing you with the perfect starting point and the essential information to help you start your Medicare journey! Medicare is made up of two primary parts, Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B. You will need both Parts in order to have a Medicare Supplement or Medicare Advantage plan in place.
Medicare Part A
Report
There are two main parts to medical insurance for retirement-age people in the US: Medicare Part A and Part B. Both components cover different medical expenses like hospital services, doctor's visits, and preventative care. In this guide, we will look at Medicare Part A. More specifically, we will outline how Part A works, what it covers, and what it costs.
Medicare Part B
Report
If you are 65 or older, there are two main forms of Medicare that you can access: Part A and Part B. Both components are often used together, as they each cover different types of medical expenses. If you are eligible for premium-free Medicare Part A, you automatically have access to Medicare Part B. Otherwise, Part B eligibility requires you to be a US citizen (or permanent resident) aged 65 or older.
Medicare Part C
Report
Medicare Advantage Plans, sometimes called "Part C" or "MA Plans, " are offered by Medicare-approved private companies that must follow rules set by Medicare. Most Medicare Advantage Plans include drug coverage (Part D). In many cases, you'll need to use health care providers who participate in the plan's network and service area for the lowest costs.
