I believe the power of an image has the ability to speak to us through a universal language. Regardless of culture or origin, it transcends words and needs no interpretation. She began her career as staff photographer in Europe for Cyclisme International, covering ten years of professional cycling, including the infamous Tour de France, from the back of a motorcycle. Darcy continued her profession as an International award-winning Humanitarian Photojournalist documenting project efforts to eradicate world hunger and poverty.

Darcy is exceptional in every way! Professional, personable, reliable and a great photographer. She worked so well with getting the 9 of us (including 3 kiddos) organized and situated for our photo shoot on our Winter Park family vacation. Working with Darcy has been a joy. We asked her to photograph our daughter and family in a rare moment in our lives we decided to commemorate. Darcy Kiefel is so wonderful to work with! We have used her twice for our Niwot High School Senior portraits and took advantage of having family photos taken as well. She makes everyone feel comfortable, and she has a certain ease about her that makes everyone want to smile for the camera! I can't say enough about Darcy as a person and her amazing photography! She took Senior photos for my daughter graduating from high school in the Fall and they were so beautiful that I asked her to take pictures of my oldest daughter who graduated from college & my high school graduate in May with their grad caps & gowns! Darcy is so patient and positive no matter what is thrown at her- we had huge gusts of wind start just as our photo shoot was starting. We took a break and she came back after an hour when the wind died down. I really wanted to get the photos before having to return the gown,

Darcy did a fantastic job of photographing our family. Even with cold weather and a less-than-cooperative eight year old, she managed to capture a lot of incredible moments that we will treasure for years to come. She picked a great location and worked with us to do a couple outfit changes. She caught a lot of "typical" great poses but also several silly candids, and she had the kids do a lot of fun stuff that made for great pictures.

Darcy and Boulder Family Portraits did an amazing job for our family of 6. We are a large group, and she was able to provide clear directions for a wide variety of different shots and poses. She is able to make everyone smile in the most natural and joyful way, and can even make the dog a photogenic supermodel! Darcy is fantastic! She did my daughter's senior photos and not only did they come out amazing, there were so many great options. Darcy was particularly flexible in scheduling due to wild fires, air quality, weather, etc. and while we had to reschedule many times, she is so committed to perfection, she'd rather move around her schedule to get us the best pictures. We so much enjoyed our Boulder Save the Date Session with Darcy and were so so pleased with the photos we received! From the very beginning, Darcy was so easy to work with, flexible and accommodating. On the original day we were supposed to have our photo session, the weather wasn't great so Darcy called to offer her flexibility if we wanted to shoot another day. We couldn't be happier with the images we got from Darcy for our two-family, post-Thanksgiving photo shoot in the Chautauqua snow. What makes her results so good is that she makes the whole event fun! The youngsters weren't exactly thrilled about taking a bunch of photos, but by the end they were having a great time. We were so lucky to trust all of Darcy's wonderful Yelp reviews. She really came through for us and took beautiful pictures of our simple courthouse wedding. Living out of state and only visiting Colorado we booked her over the phone and did not meet in person until the day of the wedding. We had an amazing experience with Darcy during our family photography session in Estes! Darcy had great suggestions for locations and did an amazing job capturing phenomenal photos of our family with amazing scenery as a backdrop! Darcy is amazing. She made our day unbelievably special. Her heart is as big as all outdoors and you feel like the most beautiful, important people she has ever photographed. We were renewing our vows. It was a very emotional day for us as we have gone through some very trying times....we cried, she cried, we all laughed, and she truly cared about who we are and why we were doing what we were doing. I can't express more how easy it was to work with Darcy. I worked on logistics and planning with Darcy for over a year and from the very beginning, she answered her phone, returned emails and would answer with precise answers whenever a question arose. We talked to about a dozen wedding photographers, even had the one we thought we were happy hiring, but then we met Darcy. She always had a smile, very friendly and gave good feedback for photo locations.

Wow, Darcy is amazing! Darcy Kiefel photographed our mountain wedding, and she somehow managed to capture the day just right. She spent time before the ceremony scouting out just the right spots and provided local knowledge of the area that made our ceremony and photos perfect. I am so very impressed with her work! I just can't say enough great things about Darcy Kiefel! I was so happy and honored that Darcy was able to photograph my son, Zac, for his senior photos. I didn't just want a photo... It was very important for me to capture Zac's love of Colorado, the outdoors, his dog and his heart. It was evident from the beginning of the photo shoot that it was going to be a great day doing exactly that!!! My son wasn't thrilled about doing this and by the end of our first day, he was loving it and having fun!!! It was amazing!!! Our dog had a great time too!!! Zac's photos will be treasured

The greatest compliment is a return customer. Am I right ?!?! Darcy did such a wonderful job with our son's senior photos, that we came back for family photos a year later. I can't say enough amazing things about Darcy! First of all she was a life-savor for my wedding in November when my original photographer broke her knee a week or so out and had found Darcy as our replacement. I was a little nervous at first working with a completely new photographer so close to the wedding but after meeting with her and having a delightful conversation she put my mind at ease.
