Unless otherwise arranged, your first appointment is for a consultation or an examination. The nature and extent of the problem are determined and treatment options are discussed. Please remember to bring any X-rays you may have been given, along with any dental and medical insurance information. If you normally take antibiotic pre-medication for dental cleanings, please pre-medicate for your visit.

Any dentist who puts on the music you want to hear while sitting in a message chair, Wins! Not to mention a very well trained staff that I enjoyed hanging out with even though they were drilling into my skull! Everything was clearly explained and they took a lot of time for my never ending list of questions. I would imagine most people who end up here, in the insanely comfortable message chair, have not been the best at taking care of their teeth, yet I didn't feel shamed and ended up leaving with a solid plan not to be a toothless old man!!

At Associates In Periodontics in South Burlington, VT I received exceptional care from the moment I walked into the office until I walked out. The staff is very friendly and kind as I was nervous during the appointment. They explained everything to me to comfort me during the visit. Dr. Aisda was really nice and sensed right off I was nervous but did everything to make me more relaxed during the visit. If I ever need to, I will go back there and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for these services. 5 Star Plus in my book.

I have had wonderful experiences at AIP over the years. But my favorite hygienist is Heather. I have a sensitivity in certain areas and she takes the time to make sure I’m pain free. And she is always pleasant, with a friendly and positive attitude. I appreciate her advice and tips. Also, the massaging chair is awesome!
The front end staff are friendly as well. I would recommend this office to my friends and family.

The assistant who took my information was very pleasant and professional. I found the periodontist abrupt and felt like he wanted to do the maximum amount of work instead of discussing alternatives. At age 84 I'm not seeking the best treatment for the next 25 years but rather the least invasive to let me keep my teeth and enjoy eating.

We asked to switch to Associates from another periodontist’s office because we did not feel comfortable with the environment of the other office.
Associates was a marked improvement, with the staff being more friendly and the general environment being less off-putting. The dental assistants were knowledgeable and nice, and the periodontist who worked on me was quite professional. My only critique would be that I felt that as he worked, he focused his communication on his assistant rather than me — he worked very quickly, rattling off series’ of numbers without explaining what they meant

I've been a client here for a good 10 years. The office folks are thoughtful, friendly, and efficient. I've always been treated well, even when I had to break appointments at the last minute.
Dr Shuman is a gem. When he worked on my gums he gave me his phone number in case I had any concerns or problems AND called me personally that evening to check in on me.
I drive 2 hours each way to go here, and it is worth it.
