South Bay Marina was honored to have Vice President of the United States Mike Pence on one of our tours! We took a backwaters fishing trip with Jeremiah on a deck boat. There were 5 of us plus the guide and we were very comfortable. Jeremiah knows the hot spots and we were constantly catching fish.

Nothing big which disappointed him, but we were having a great time catching lots of sheep's head, catfish, ladyfish, a sting ray, and a puffer. He baited our hooks with shrimp and helped us learn the best ways to catch certain fish. My son is 9 and Jeremiah was great at teaching kids. We also saw a dolphin and a manatee.

South Bay Marina opened for business in the spring of 2003 continuing a long line of successful marina facilities dating back to the late 60's. Started by Capt. Justin Finch, his goal has been to provide quality services with a personal approach and fair prices. At SBM we pride ourselves on having the best captains in the area.

Charters

With a huge variety of fish species to chose from we can travel from 1 mile to 30miles depending on the desired game and length of charter. During the fall and winter the target species are Grouper, Snapper, Redfish, Mackerel and Cobia. Typically for Grouper and Snapper we like to use a bottom fishing approach.

For those that desire to be their own captain for a full or half-day we have a varied selection of boats. We offer pontoons, bow riders and center console boats. These boats range in size from 17- 25'. Whether you would like explore the mangrove forest with a shallow, stable pontoon boat or cruise the near shore waters of the gulf we have the vessels to meet your needs.
