Head Master's Welcome
Report
As soon as your child slips on the Green Blazer, he or she becomes part of an educational tradition which dates back 500 years and is practised all over the world. As Scotland's only Jesuit school, St Aloysius' College embraces a distinctive form of Catholic education which places formation of the whole person at the centre of all learning.
Values and Aspirations
Report
Our aspirations for our pupils are focused on the ve principal concepts found in all Jesuit schools. These statements form the mission for staff at the College, who are dedicated to forming bright, well-rounded and empathetic young people. With these pledges, we invite families into a strong, educational community with people at its core.
Faith and Values
Report
As a Jesuit school, we exist to serve humanity according to the vision and spirit of the gospel, and, as such, we are faithful to the teachings of the Catholic Church. We offer opportunities for a faith response to God, whilst recognising that faith cannot be imposed. Religious and spiritual formation is integral to the education we provide - it is not added to, or separate from, the educational process.
Personal Excellence
Report
At St Aloysius' College, the curriculum is focused on the person rather than the material to be covered. We look to form men and women for others in a way that encourages the development of all of their talents. This is why the curriculum always encompasses the full breadth of languages and literature, creative and performing arts, sciences, technology, maths, social sciences, sport and PE.
Delight in Learning
Report
Jesuit education forms men and women for others in a way that encourages the development of all of their talents. This is why we continue to provide a rich programme of co-curricular activities to deepen and expand pupil experiences, in order to establish and nurture their individual talents for the greater glory of God and the common good.
