At Lyriq Music School we believe in nurturing the whole musician from technique and musical knowledge to interpretation and performance. By creating a collaborative environment between students and teachers we cultivate our students' musical abilities alongside their confidence and happiness. Our teachers are highly qualified academically and also masters of their instruments.
We strive to hire the best and support their growth as teachers in their professional development. No two musicians are alike and neither are their goals. At your first lesson the student and teacher set attainable goals and revisit them regularly. Your lessons are tailored to your individual needs.

About Us
Report
I wanted to create a place for performers, musicians, and musical people of all skill levels. I also wanted to make sure that we provide the highest quality lessons by hiring only the most qualified professionals, that are both good teachers and masters of their instruments. I want LYRIQ Music School to be a collaborative environment for the art of teaching and the art of music amongst our teachers.
Piano
Report
What can I expect? The rewards of piano lessons increase over time, and provides additional benefits outside of the studio. While phrases like "classical music makes you smart" may be a gross generalization, students learn various skills in addition to refined motor skills (which is a plus too!) in the form of time management and structured thinking.
Voice
Report
How young can a student begin voice lessons? We recommend waiting until the age of 10-12 to start voice lessons, at which point young people can begin learning the anatomy and physiology of healthy singing function and begin building physical awareness of the corresponding sensations. If a child would like to begin prior to that age, we recommend either starting with piano or trying "Intro to Voice" sessions.
Guitar/Ukulele/Bass
Report
How young can a student begin guitar lessons? We recommend waiting until the age of 6 to start guitar lessons. Hand strength is an important factor to consider when starting guitar. Younger students may encounter more challenges and frustrations when learning any new instrument so it is important to make sure students are able to produce a sound on their instrument.
Winds & Brass
Report
Ear training/musicianship (learning songs by ear, basic improvisation, practicing musical sensibility, etc). Intermediate/advanced students bring current method book or most recent materials worked on. Practicing is key! You become your habits, so if you want to really learn to play you must get into the habit of practicing daily or almost daily.
