Our new organization will help us continue to offer the finest training in classical ballet to the Austin community in a warm and inclusive environment. Artistic Directors, Joseph and Kimberly Cox and the faculty of both studios will come together to expand our offerings and keep you dancing. A cultural treasure of the Austin community, this ballet academy has been providing the finest classical ballet training for over 30 years.
Prior to opening the Slavin Nadal School of Ballet in 1989, Eugene Slavin and Alexandra Nadal were the founders of Ballet Austin and the Ballet Austin Academy (1983), and served as Artistic Directors of Ballet Austin and its predecessors - Austin Civic Ballet and Academy - for 17 years (1972-1989).

Take class on a non-slip surface. If you have a slippery floor at home, you can spray a bit of water onto the bottom your shoes to gain some friction. Carpet is fine for barre work and small jumps, not for turns. Make sure you have plenty of leg room, ideally at least a 3ft space around your feet and in the space from your head to the ceiling.
