Mitchell is born and raised of Hawaiian ancestry, he has been surfing his whole life. Born on Oahu's North Shore in Hauula, he has lived on the island of Kauai since he was 2 years old. Growing up in Haena and Hanalei and then the small town of Anahola, he had access to some of the best surfing Hawaii has to offer.

Learning how to surf or already know how, you may want to rent a board for a day or the rest of your vacation. Rent a board or two and practice, practice, practice. We have soft tops and epoxy boards. Long boards and short boards. Stand up paddle boards. You will enjoy the ease of renting your board right in Hanalei.

Often times mornings are best for wave quality and there is less wind, but also there is less of a crowd. Afternoons we try to have 1pm be our last lesson time because the Island children get home from school and want to head to the beach to practice their skills and we don't want to bum them out. Stand Up Paddling

This is your chance to go standup paddling, the fastest growing water sport, while enjoying the beauty of Hanalei Bay on Kauai. Our lessons start in the river. Instructor, board, paddle and rash guard provided. Some do it because it's the best workout on the water. Others use it to access surf that's difficult to tap with prone paddling.
