Most - but not all - colleges require either an SAT or ACT score as part of their admissions process. Very important, but it's almost never the deciding factor in admissions. College admissions staff take into account a number of factors: GPA and class rank, the difficulty of classes a student takes in high school, extracurricular activities, the level of thought and work put into an application, and a host of other factors.

There's no need to spend a significant amount of time worrying about test prep freshman year. Instead, take classes that challenge you and do well in them. Remember, your transcript is more important than your test score! A few students (about 1%) may want to start test prep over the summer to prepare for the PSAT and possible National Merit consideration.

For the past 13 years, our test prep courses have been helping DFW students meet their college admissions goals. We think our prep classes are the best in the metroplex. Our prep courses provide students with everything they need to succeed on standardized testing. Each class consists of between 12 (ACT) and 16 (SAT) hours of instruction with one of our test prep experts and covers every aspect of the test.
