Star Tutoring is a novel approach to after-school academic services. We help students improve their grades and become confident, independent learners. We reinforce organization, planning, self-advocacy and study skills in addition to academics. By strengthening Executive Functioning, our students develop habits that transfer to success in real life.

We help students who have gifts and challenges achieve college readiness. Our model is battle-tested and we customize it for each student we serve. Tutoring

Report

Our innovative approach to tutoring focuses on strengthening Executive Functioning skills in the context of the student's coursework. Our tutors have two roles: to instruct academics and to coach students. We believe in self-advocacy, so our tutors mentor their students on how to communicate with teachers and adults.

Adhd

Students with ADHD often experience a range of challenges in the classroom ranging from mild to severe. It can be overwhelming! We also understand that family dynamics can make it challenging to address these issues at home. One-on-one tutoring is a great way to provide additional remediation and coaching to help students manage their school work.

We are partnering with Play-Well TEKnologies to offer LEGO-inspired Engineering Camps at Star Tutoring. Play-Well camps includes tens of thousands of LEGO materials to let kids thrive as naturally gifted creators. Play-Well strives to provide an environment where students can create without fear of mistakes, explore fundamental STEM concepts through play, and express their creativity in ways they never thought possible.
