Nonprofits of the Night
Report
Right from the start in 1999, the Bethesda Big Train experience has been about far more than baseball. The goal of our founders was to build community through baseball. Years ago, the Bethesda Big Train began to invite community nonprofits to come out to Povich Field to showcase their organizations.

Report
Big Train baseball at Shirley Povich Field doesn't just happen. Bethesda Community Base Ball Club Founders John Ourisman and Bruce Adams envisioned a community-based organization staffed largely by volunteers. Because so many community residents have stepped up to help out as volunteers, Big Train has contributed more than $600,000 over the years to improve baseball and softball fields for kids.
