We look forward to getting to know you and helping meet your eye care needs in a personalized way. I have worn glasses my entire life and VisionFirst was the first optician office which made me feel confident in their doctors and selection of frames and lenses. Their customer service is excellent and they treat everyone like family!

All of the doctors at Visionfirst are very kind and thorough. They take time to answer all of your questions and help you understand any concerns you may have. I would recommend Visionfirst to anyone looking for better eyecare! Whether you're looking for a backup pair or want frames that are cost-conscious while not sacrificing style, we have something to offer.
Services
Our History
Report
VisionFirst has been providing the most progressive and professional eye care to families in Central Kentucky and Southern Indiana since 1973. Ever since Dr. Rod Rallo moved to Louisville and expanded his practice by purchasing Louisville Optical in 1987, VisionFirst has become the largest "locally owned and operated" eye care practice in the region.
Eye Exams
Report
To measure how clearly you see at a distance, you identify letters of various sizes on a printed chart. You may also view a chart inside a machine. The type gets smaller as you move down its rows. You'll cover one eye, then the other, as you read the letters aloud. Your score will then be compared with how someone with normal vision sees at that distance.
Lenses
Report
With a wide variety of choices in lenses, there is sure to be a lens that will fit your lifestyle needs! Shop online or visit us at one of our convenient offices! You'll always see life in the best light with Transitions adaptive lenses from Essilor. These very popular lenses automatically adjust from clear to dark, and every shade in between.
Face Shape Guide
Report
Everone has their own unique face, from your features and coloring to the shape of your face. According to the Vision Council of America (VCA), the key to finding the best frame for your face is determined by the shape of your face. The VCA has established that there are seven face shapes among the billions of us.

The safety and health of children's eyes is always a priority at VisionFirst. And because August is National Children's Eye Health & Safety Month, we thought it beneficial to review some tips to keep young eyes safe. This means everything from proper safety eyewear to managing the environment in which your children play and live.
