Lynnwood Equestrian Center is a family friendly boarding facility situated on 25 beautiful acres in Fort Mill, S.C. Just two miles from 521 and seven miles from the Ballantyne area. The facility is owned by Terilynn and Matt Storey, who is a local horse veterinarian. We have a 20 stall barn with large 12*12 stalls with stall mats in each, two tack rooms, a wash bay area with hot and cold water.

We have a 220'x140' riding arena with outdoor lights and multipurpose footing. Our horses are grouped in small groups of 6-8 when turned out. There are many miles of trails on our property as well as in the surrounding area, so you do not have to own a trailer to enjoy a nice trail ride! All disciplines are welcome.

Earn your Girl Scout or Brownie Patch/Badges at our barn all year long, rain or shine! Lynnwood Equestrian Center is officially approved by the Girl Scouts Hornets Nest Council in Charlotte, N.C., as the barn to earn your Patch/Badges at! We invite your troop to visit our barn to learn and experience the world of horses.

Birthday Parties

Report

We offer birthday parties for children ages 4 and up. The party last for two hours. We use 4-5 of our lesson horses and ponies and let the children ride for an hour. While the children are waiting to ride, we have a sand pile with toys, a very friendly donkey and two mini horses that they can pet. The second hour is for eating, opening presents and cake.

Summer Camp

Report

Each summer we offer five weeks of summer camp; three weeks in June and two weeks in July. Hours are 9:00-1:30. Ages 6-12. We learn about horses from their feet up, and how to properly tack up and ride English and Western, with a bareback day, as well. We do crafts, games, paint a horse, trail ride, etc. Please go to our contact page and email for more info and registration form.

Yoga on Horseback

Report

Ladies, for a great therapy session for your mind, spirit and body, come out and enjoy an hour class of stretching, deep breathing and exercises on top of a horse! It is very therapeutic. No riding experience required. We provide fresh fruited water and goodies after each session. Please go to our contact page and email for times and price.

Boarding

Report

Stall board is $580 a month and pasture board is $355 a month. Our pastures have run-in sheds, and the horses always have access to hay round bales in the wintertime and even in the summer when the grass becomes sparse at times due to weather. Each horse's diet is individualized due to their needs.
