Pocket gophers are small to medium sized rodents that are usually first noticed by homeowners by the mounds of dirt left from burrowing activities. Gophers are herbivores that primarily dine on roots, but occasionally are seen above ground eating on lawns or other vegetation. They never leave active burrow areas open for very long.

What is the best way to get rid of mice? Trapping. We never use any rodenticides, or poisoned baits, as part of our work. There is no risk of a child, pet, or predator getting any bait or a poisoned rodent. Once the trapping and removal is completed, then sealing the home or business to future re-entry is strongly recommended so that the same issue does not occur again.

Two species of squirrels, rock squirrels and Abert's squirrels, live in Albuquerque and the surrounding areas. Rock squirrels are a common, burrowing squirrel found on both sides of the Sandia Mountain. Like mice and rats, they frequently enter homes through various exterior openings. They also will burrow in yards and under sheds; sample various fruits and veggies from your property; and feast at your bird feeders.
