Our son went to Bowdoin and we discovered Saltbox one day. We asked them to make for Cobalt blue pasta bowls for us. They were beautiful and reasonably priced for custom. We liked them so much we are planning to get salad bowls made. Go, you will love it!

We chose Saltbox Pottery to make our wedding pottery, and I love it as much today as I did 9 years ago. The customer service was always great, and creating a wedding registry went very smoothly. The pieces are very beautiful and functional. I should say that as a somewhat klutzy person who is not gentle on her dishes, unfortunately I have broken probably 10 pieces over the years, so there is a stack waiting for my husband to fix it. This is well made and sturdy, but it's not Corelle. We also had several pieces arrive broken in the mail, and the box looked like it had been pretty trashed

Amazing local pottery with colonial styling and glazes. Microwavable and dishwasher-proof as well. I always stop to add a piece or find a gift. Special orders are also possible. A bit tricky to find the first time, but just off Route 1 (southbound side).
