Musicologie was started by husband and wife Kay and Joseph Barker in their house and we're now the largest music education company in Ohio with six studios in Columbus, Cleveland and Cincinnati and a team of 80+ amazing teachers with diverse backgrounds and specialties.
Private Music Lessons

Private music lessons are hands down the best way to learn an instrument and we offer them online and in-person. If you're passionate and have a little bit of elbow grease, you'll be playing or singing your favorite music in no time. Lessons are weekly one-on-one sessions with a teacher specifically matched to you or your child based on your experience and goals.
Musicologie Junior

In partnership with Opera Columbus, Musicologie Junior is a group class for toddlers and their parents, guardians or caretakers. At each class, we'll sing songs, move our bodies, dance to different styles of music, read sing-along books, and play lots of musical instruments while your child reinforces her naturally-developing senses of rhythm, melody, rhyme, speech, and movement!
Rock Band

Have you dreamed of playing with a band on stage? Join Musicologie's Rock Band program for ages 8-18. You'll learn a mix of contemporary and classic songs practicing with your band once per week. Band members learn every aspect of group playing: setting up gear, communicating on stage, and how to recover after a mistake.
Scholarships
Report
We believe everyone should have access to affordable music lessons with a great teacher and musical role model. That's why we offer The Musicologie Scholarship. Scholarships are available for students ages 5-18 in families making less than 250% of the Federal Poverty Level. The scholarship covers 50% of tuition and the student pays the remaining half.
