Retreat to the Colorado Rockies with Drala Mountain Center
Drala Mountain Center has served as a sanctuary for spiritual growth and personal transformation for over 50 years. Nestled in the Colorado Rockies, our 600-acre campus offers a sacred space for meditation, yoga, and mindfulness practices rooted in Buddhist traditions and other wisdom teachings. We provide year-round retreats led by accomplished practitioners, ranging from beginner programs to advanced meditation intensives. Our mission is to inspire individuals and communities toward greater wisdom, compassion, and environmental stewardship through direct experience of contemplative practices.

The Great Stupa of Dharmakaya, one of the world's most significant sacred architectural sites, anchors our land as a beacon of peace and healing. With accommodations from modern lodges to rustic tents, we welcome all seekers in a supportive environment that balances structured programming with personal reflection. Our commitment to accessibility includes financial assistance programs and eco-forestry initiatives that honor our responsibility to both people and the planet.

Participants engage with traditional Buddhist techniques and contemporary mindfulness approaches in our mountain sanctuary.
Yoga Programs
Yoga retreats combine physical practice with spiritual growth through daily asana sessions, pranayama instruction, and meditation integration. Our programs emphasize mindful movement and body awareness in both indoor studios and outdoor natural settings. Teachers offer modifications for all skill levels across varied retreat durations.

Creative retreats foster artistic exploration through writing, visual arts, and movement practices. These programs emphasize process over product, using creativity as a path to self-discovery. Participants work with experienced instructors in supportive environments that encourage authentic expression and cross-disciplinary experimentation.
Eco-Dharma Programs
Eco-Dharma retreats integrate Buddhist teachings with environmental stewardship through land-based practices and ecological discussions. Programs include forest bathing, sustainability workshops, and nature connection activities. Participants explore the intersection of personal awakening and planetary responsibility in our mountain ecosystem.

Shrine, peaceful, take a bike so you can roam around. Takes around 15 min walk to reach stupa from main parking lot.

The hike to the Stupa was gorgeous. Unfortunately the Stupa is closed. I will definitely go again once the Stupa reopens. Thank you for a memorable experience

Hidden place that worth it to visit, no admission needed. There is a small room called visitors center. You can get in try to watch the movie about the table and drink a cup of team. Feels like home.

A wonderful hidden gem in the Poudre/Redfeather area. Open daily (including labor day) and free. The stupa is so well maintained, it never has a speck of dirt anywhere. The inside is beautiful and peaceful. Lots of other amenities like the tea house near the stupa, and the gift shop. Workshops and retreats for the more serious/less casual visitor. A lovely place to visit.

What an experience! This place is unbelievably relaxing and yet engaging at the same time. The staff is all so kind and the location is just something else. I went for my birthday and it was really the exact experience and refresher I needed. I think it will become a regular part of my life.
