I love to meet and spend time with animals of all species. Spent 3 years educating myself at multiple stables on horse care, riding, and natural horsemanship.
I long served as a pet sitter, dog walker, and puppy nanny for friends and family before starting The Patient Pet at the end of 2014. Until shortly before that, dogs and cats were always a part of my household. I currently have no pets, so I am free to be devoted to yours.

I meet with you and your animals in your home to discuss my services and go over your care instructions. Checking in on your animals while you're away. Includes cleaning bowls, providing fresh food and water, administering medication, cleaning litter box/yard, and giving attention e.g. Staying overnight with your animals while you're away.

Maija clearly understands and connects with pets, and our family is very satisfied with the help we receive from her. Maija has dog sat at our home multiple times. She is responsible and considerate-communicating quickly and easily about schedules and the particulars of our dog's needs, and leaving our home in order.
