Our ophthalmologists are board-certified medical doctors. Each has completed college and at least eight years of additional medical training. Ophthalmologists specialize in eye and vision care and are licensed to practice medicine and surgery. In addition to diagnosing and treating all eye diseases, ophthalmologists perform eye surgery and prescribe and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses to correct vision problems.

Dr. Montesanti is a board-certified ophthalmologist and clinical assistant professor of ophthalmology at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He joined ECVA in July of 2002 and became partner the following year.
David T. Styn, OD

Dr. David T. Styn joined ECVA in the fall of 2020 with over 20 years of experience. Previously, he practiced in Lewiston, Niagara Falls, and Orchard Park. A Western New York native, Dr. Styn is a graduate of Canisius College and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr Styn received his Theraputic certification in 1999.
