Ballet Classes
Our ballet classes develop technical proficiency and artistic expression for students aged 4-18. With levels from beginner to advanced, we focus on proper technique, musicality, and performance skills. Classes incorporate barre work, center combinations, and across-the-floor exercises to build strength and precision.
Summer Intensives
Six-week summer intensives offer immersive training in ballet, jazz, contemporary, and pointe. Designed for ages 9-18, programs include placement classes, master teachers, and performance opportunities. Limited enrollment ensures personalized attention while fostering technical growth and artistic development in a collaborative environment.
Evening Workshops
Weekly evening workshops maintain technique during summer months. Divided by skill level, sessions include ballet, pointe, and conditioning. Intermediate students engage in advanced pointe work while beginners develop foundational skills. Classes emphasize continuity and preparation for the upcoming season.
Competition Preparation
Competition programs focus on solo and ensemble repertoire, stage presence, and adjudication readiness. Students receive coaching in choreography, musical interpretation, and performance quality. Participation in regional competitions builds confidence and exposes dancers to professional evaluation and networking opportunities.
Young Dancer Program
Creative movement classes for ages 4-7 introduce ballet fundamentals through storytelling and play. Daily technique classes are complemented by crafts and set design projects centered on weekly ballet themes. Adam James Holms
Artistic Director
Co-founder and Artistic Director since 2014, Adam holds an M.A. and has assembled award-winning faculty. With expertise in ballet pedagogy and ABT certification, he develops curriculum and oversees all artistic programming while mentoring students personally.

What age groups do you accept?
We accept students aged 4-18 across all programs, with specific offerings for primary levels, beginners, and advanced dancers.
Are there performance opportunities?
Yes! Students perform in professional theaters and participate in regional competitions with coaching and repertoire development.
How are class levels determined?
Levels are determined by technical ability, age, and maturity through placement classes conducted by our Artistic Director.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, check, and credit card payments for all programs and classes.
Can I get a refund if a class is canceled?
Yes, refunds are issued if classes are canceled due to low enrollment, but deposits are non-refundable otherwise.
Do you offer summer programs?
Yes! Our six-week summer intensives include daily technique classes, workshops, and special guest instruction from industry professionals.

NMYB is an amazing studio led by tremendous people who are masters in their professions and truly great people. Anyone who has seen their recitals can see the quality of their work and even better, the maturation of the dancers within the studio. They continuously strive for excellence and if your son or daughter is interested in ballet - that is exactly what you want in a studio. I place a full A+ recommendation down here - give them a call and try a class - it won't be the last.

NMYB is truly not your run of the mill ballet studio. We have BOYS in our studio, not just one or two but at least 16 with an incredible male dance program. It is a studio where everyone matters, from the children who are here to just enjoy and have fun, all the way to those on a pre-professional track. NMYB believes in teaching the whole child and has a strong emphasis on individuality, social justice, and the pure love of the art of ballet.
